With iOS 26.3 Beta 1, transferring to Android devices and notification forwarding have become more convenient.

While iOS 26.2 was released only a few days ago, Apple has already started rolling out the first iOS 26.3 beta to supported devices. This update introduces several notable changes, including a brand-new transfer tool for users who want to switch from iPhone to Android, as well as notification forwarding to third-party wearables.

Transfer to Android is the latest addition to Apple’s suite of transfer tools. It allows users to migrate data such as apps, photos, contacts, messages, and more by connecting both devices to the same wireless network. What makes this feature stand out is that it is now built directly into iOS and does not require installing any additional apps.

Notification Forwarding is the other major new feature in iOS 26.3, although it is currently available only in the European Union. It enables third-party wearables to receive notifications from your iPhone. The feature can be enabled by navigating to Settings > Notifications > Notification Forwarding.

Once enabled, users can choose which apps are allowed to send notifications to their wearables. At the moment, the feature works with only one device, meaning that if an Apple Watch is connected to your iPhone, notifications will not be forwarded. This new functionality is a direct result of the European Union’s Digital Markets Act, which required Apple to open access to its iOS notification system.

Another new feature in iOS 26.3 is the Weather wallpaper, which now has its own dedicated section within the Lock Screen customization options.

Apple is expected to release iOS 26.3 officially in January.
