From the White House to the Warehouse: Trump is now in the mobile business!

Trump family launches Trump Mobile and a $499 smartphone in the US

Donald Trump’s family has launched Trump Mobile, a new mobile service and unveiled a $499 smartphone, under a licensing deal using the Trump brand. The announcement was made at Trump Tower in Manhattan.

The network will run on infrastructure from the three largest U.S. carriers. Details about the manufacturer or financial partners remain undisclosed.

Donald Trump Jr. said users will receive telemedicine access, roadside assistance, and texting to 100 countries, all for a flat monthly fee.

The subscription price is $47.45/month, a nod to Trump as the 45th and current 47th U.S. president.

The phone is described as a sleek, gold-colored device supposedly built in the U.S., though no specific company has been named. Experts say a U.S.-made phone at $499 is highly unlikely.

Eric Trump said the first shipment might arrive in August, though possibly manufactured abroad.

The Trump brand previously saw failures in licensing ventures — Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump University, among others.

Trump Mobile enters the U.S. MVNO market

The network is an MVNO operating under T1 Mobile. Trump Organization does not design, produce, or sell the service, only licenses the brand name.

Registered in Florida, T1 Mobile’s operators remain unclear. MVNOs, while a niche market, are gaining popularity in a space dominated by Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.

Analysts warn MVNOs hold just 3–4% of market share, and real impact only comes with over one million subscribers.

Can a $499 “Made in USA” smartphone be real?

Only Purism makes U.S.-assembled smartphones, with devices priced from $1,999. CEO Todd Weaver called the Trump Phone claim “classic vaporware,” doubting its feasibility at that price.
