Apple launches iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro models powered by the M5 chip
Apple has introduced its new generation of devices — the iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro — all powered by the M5 chip. With this launch, the company marks another major step forward in performance and artificial intelligence integration.
Sales will begin on October 22, with prices remaining the same as the previous generation: the iPad Pro starts at $999, the MacBook Pro at $1,599, and the Vision Pro at $3,499.
The new M5 processor delivers notable improvements in both speed and power efficiency compared to the M4 chip. According to Apple, the M5-powered iPad Pro is up to 3.5 times faster in AI-related tasks.
The updated iPad Pro features a slimmer design, OLED display, and improved battery performance. Apple has also released a new version of the Magic Keyboard designed for these models.
The Vision Pro has received moderate but significant upgrades, including smoother performance, longer battery life, and enhanced AR capabilities thanks to the M5 chip. However, its high $3,499 price still limits accessibility for most users.
The new MacBook Pro retains its familiar design, but the M5 chip delivers a substantial boost in processing power. Apple plans to release “Pro” and “Max” versions of the M5 chip soon, expected to power the upcoming 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.
Industry analysts note that this launch is part of Apple’s broader strategy to strengthen its ecosystem, deepen device integration, and enhance AI-driven functionality across its product lineup.
